Yankee Hill Man Sentenced in Murder Case

    A Butte County man has been sentenced following the
fatal shooting of his roommate.
    The Chico ER reports 65 year old John Halsema was ordered
to spend 40 years to life in prison after being convicted of
second-degree murder in the death of Craig Davies.
    Authorities say Davies was fatally shot last January...and Halsema
waited 9 days to report his roommate was dead at their Yankee Hill
home.
