PG & E Customers to See Higher Electric Rates

New rates are in effect for P.G. & E. this year. Ratepayers will see their electric bills rise this month but their natural gas bills fall. But P.G. & E.'s Paul Moreno says natural gas rates will go up again in February as part of pipeline maintenance.  He says electric rates will rise because the company is required to purchase more renewable energy and is investing in more improvements in its electric system.
