Plans for a senior citizen housing project near Durham go before Butte Supervisors today. The 141 unit project has already been denied by the county Planning Commission, but the Board can also ask for more information in an environmental review. Pete Calarco is with Butte County Development Services and says the envirnonmental review gives the developer another chance to pursue the project. The Durham Villas Project raised considerable objections that it was incompatible with adjacent ag lands and also had a negative effect on water and traffic safety.
