CSUC Building Deemed Safe Despite Worries Over Asbestos

Chico State University officials say Butte Hall is safe despite concerns about asbestos. The controversy stems from two Univeristy professors dying of cancer within the last year. Chico State Spokesman Joe Wills says Butte Hall does have asbestos, but certified experts have deemed the facility safe.   A geography professor placed signs outside of Butte Hall this week that read "Caution: Asbestos." Wills says the University is open to more testing if that will ease fears.
