Butte County Sheriff says More Pot Grown on Private Land


With the pot growing season winding down in California, authorities are noticing a different trend this year. There appears to be less pot grown on public lands and more grown on private lands. Butte County Sheriff Jerry Smith says it's tougher to search private property and some may be using medical marijuana laws as a cover.



Statewide, it's clear there will be less marijuana eradicated because of less pot grows on public lands.
