The Chico Police Department wants the public to join them for "Coffee with a Cop" day. The event is being put on by the Chico Police Department, CSUC Police, and the CHP. It is planned for Friday October 7th from 9 am to 10 am at Starbucks on 246 Broadway, Cal Java on 2485 Notre Dame Blvd., Coffee Ranch on 1288 E 1st Avenue, It's A Grind on 6 W Eaton, and Selvester's on the Chico State campus. 

Coffee with a Cop is ment to give the communty an opportunity to meet with an officer in a relaxed setting. Authorities hope that this will help to break down barriers and allow for one on one interaction.
