The Tobin Fire is affecting more than the immediate fire area.

Officials say the North Forebay in Oroville has been closed so firefighters can use the area as an incident command post. The closure will affect all parking lots, picnic areas and trails within the North Forebay as well as the Forebay Aquatic Center. It's also been reported that the fire has forced the annual Family Goose Hunt, scheduled for next week, to be cancelled with no time yet when it'll be rescheduled. The Fire started Monday morning north of Highway 70 in the Feather River Canyon near the Tobin Ridge.  The latest estimate has the fire burning about 375 acres and is 5 percent contained. Firefighters on the ground are reportedly dealing with steep, rocky, treacherous terrain.
